About Us

Peacemakers Community Development Center (CDC) was founded in 2002 and later incorporated in 2007. Our mission is to invest in the wellness and success of disadvantaged youths through academic programs and case management services, Family interventions, Food Pantry, Clothes Drives for the community, Women Empowerments, Widow’s assistance and providing wellness workshops and appreciation events for Senior Citizens ( Old People Association) both in USA & Nigeria, West Africa. The organization’s founding member, Shola Adedeji, BSN, MPH and member of Christ Glory International Church in Irvington is motivated to support the most at-risk young people in Irvington Township, Nigeria and other parts of the World by engaging all community members applying this timeless proverb: “It takes a village to raise a child”. Peacemakers Community Development Center CDC strives to fill a void in services for the homeless, abused, and neglected teen population of Irvington, NJ & Nigeria, West Africa. We have supported more than 500 un-duplicated youths in either enrichment activities during the summer for more than 300 children ages 9 thru 14 and 2) case management services for homeless and abused young adults ages 16 – 21.
